Monday blues

24 Oct

It’s a Monday and I’m struggling to find inspiration or even the inclination.

Debbie Ford said in a tweet today: “Claim your greatness!” and believe me, I want to!  The setting is perfect for it, it’s not too cold out, the sun’s shining.  But I can’t seem to pick myself up and get started on that humungous to-do list.  I could blame that lovely choccie cake for this sluggish feeling (my blood sugar is at its highest level ever and it was probably the frosting that clobbered me).  But it isn’t really anything physical.  It’s more of a spiritual thing.

I’ve been feeling demotivated for a while and I think a change in environment will definitely do me a whole lot of good.  I’ve got Sheryl Crow singing in my head today:

A change would do you good
A change would do you good
Hello, it’s me, I’m not at home
If you’d like to reach me, leave me alone!

I really need to get my butt in gear though.  These jobs won’t get themselves done on their own.

Welcome to the work week!
